This usually takes place during the dinner or after the dinner depending on whether the cake is part of the dessert.  When choosing a song for the cake cutting, it is recommended to make it fun and try to keep it in the theme of sugar, sweetness etc., as a popular choice is i.e. ‘The Archies —  Sugar Sugar’.
